Stage 21

Contains: Transmission case lower half, Left shaft, Right shaft, Transmission flanges 1, Transmission flanges 2, Clutch cable holder, Clutch cable tensioner, Clutch control lever and Assorted screws.

Insert the left shaft into the hole on the left side of the transmission case lower half, and the right shaft into the hole on the right. Then secure the two shafts to the case with IM screws. Now insert the short end of the clutch cable tensioner into the hole in the clutch cable bracket. Then insert the long end of the clutch cable tensioner into the hole in the clutch control lever.

Insert the two pins on the clutch cable bracket into the two holes in the transmission case, and at the same time insert the post on the clutch control lever into the corresponding hole. Holding the parts in place screw from the inside with an AP screw.

Place one transmission flange 2 and one transmission flange 1 over the end of the left shaft. Then repeat the process in the previous step with the second transmission flanges 1 and 2, placing them onto the right shaft.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 22

Contains: Transmission case upper half, Starter housing 1, Starter housing 2, Starter Solenoid, Transmission front and assorted screws.

Align the hole of starter housing 2 with the post of the starter housing 1, and secure the two parts with an AP screw. Now add the starter solenoid to the starter assembly, and secure with an AP screw. Secure the starter assembly to the part of the transmission case upper half projecting from the side. Then secure them with a BM screw.

Retrieve the lower transmission case assembly from Stage 21 and align the tab on the inside of the transmission front with the post at the end of the case. Then secure with a BM screw. Place the transmission case upper half onto the lower half, aligning the holes with the posts, and secure the parts together with two BM screws.

Locate the two holes along the centre line of the underbody, in front of the engine. Now lower the two posts on the underside of the transmission case into the two holes, and secure with two BM screws, inserted from below.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Contains: Left rear torsion bar housing, Left rear torsion bar bearing, Left rear suspension swing arm, Left rear suspension anchor, Left rear transmission seal and assorted screws.

Insert the left rear transmission seal into the indicated hole in the left rear suspension swing arm, and secure with an IM screw. Then place the left rear suspension anchor at the end of the left rear torsion bar housing. Securing the two parts with a BM screw.

Engage the left rear suspension swing arm with the post on the end of the left rear torsion bar housing. Place the left rear torsion bar bearing onto the combined parts, then secure with two BM screws.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 25

Contains: Left driveshaft, Right driveshaft, Boots, Left rear suspension arm, Right rear suspension arm and Assorted screws.

Align the hole at the end of the left driveshaft, marked with an L, with the hole in the left drive seal, and secure the parts together with a DM screw. Now align the pins and holes of the left rear suspension arm with those on the left rear suspension swing arm and insert the other end of the suspension arm into the suspension arm anchor. Then secure the suspension arm to the anchor with a JM screw, also to the swing arm with an IM screw from each side.

Place two of the four boots onto the left driveshaft. Place the first one over the left drive seal. Leave the second boot loose on the shaft for the moment. Now align the hole at the end of the right driveshaft, marked with an R, with the hole in the right drive seal. Secure the parts together with a DM screw.

Align the pins and holes of the right rear suspension arm with those on the right rear suspension swing arm. Now insert the other end of the suspension arm into the suspension arm anchor. Secure the suspension arm to the anchor with a JM screw, and to the swing arm with an IM screw from each side.

Place the two remaining boots onto the right driveshaft. Place the first one over the right drive seal and leave the second boot loose on the shaft for the moment.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 26

Contains: Left rear shock absorber shaft, Rear shock absorber bodies, Shock springs, Left rear shock absorber mount, Shock absorber lock washers, Right rear shock absorber shaft, Right rear shock absorber mount and Assorted screws.

Locate the two rectangular openings on the underbody, forward of the engine top. Place the left rear shock absorber mount over the opening on the left, aligning the holes in the tabs with those in the underbody, and secure with two CM screws. Repeat this with the right shock absorber mount over the opening on the right.

Take the left rear shock absorber shaft, marked with an L, and insert it into the end of the left rear suspension swing arm. Then secure with an HM screw. Slide a shock spring onto the left rear shock absorber shaft, then place one of the rear shock absorber bodies over the spring and the shaft. Place the underbody upside down. Now align the top of the left rear shock absorber shaft with the hole in the mount, the posts on the torsion bar with the holes in the underbody, and the hole at the end of the suspension arm with the hole in the driveshaft. Secure the end of the suspension arm to the driveshaft with a BM screw.

Turn the underbody back over, and tighten two KM screws into the two holes just behind the central underbody panel. Then place a shock absorber washer onto the end of the shock absorber body, and secure there with a KM screw. Take the right rear shock absorber shaft, marked with an R, and insert it into the end of the right rear suspension swing arm, and secure with an HM screw. Now slide a shock spring onto the right rear shock absorber shaft, then place one of the rear shock absorber bodies over the spring and the shaft.

Place the underbody upside down again. Align the top of the right rear shock absorber shaft with the hole in the mount, the posts on the torsion bar with the holes in the underbody, and the hole at the end of the suspension arm with the hole in the driveshaft. Secure the end of the suspension arm to the driveshaft with a BM screw. Turn the underbody back over, and tighten two KM screws into the two holes just behind the central underbody panel. Now place a shock absorber washer onto the end of the right shock absorber body, and secure it there with a KM screw.

Slide the loose boots on the driveshafts over the joins between them and the shaft flanges.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 27

Contains: Transmission plate, Rear brake lines, Rear anti-roll bar, Oil hose, Clutch cable and Assorted screws.

Take both brake lines and tie one end of the clutch cable around the middle of them. Then pass the ends of the brake lines and clutch cable through the two holes in the middle of the underbody. Turn the underbody over, and pull the cables through and back, over the rear suspension arm anchors and each side of transmission case. Keep the cables in position, and place the transmission plate over the front end of the transmission case. Then secure it in place with two DM screws.

Connect the clutch cable to the clutch cable bracket. Now insert the pins in the top of the rear anti-roll bar into the middle of the three holes of the rear torsion bar housings. At the same time, insert the ends of the rear antiroll bar into the holes in the rear suspension arms. Then secure the bar to the torsion bar housings with four BM screws.

Align the end of the oil pipe with the indicated hole in the underbody and secure it with an AP screw inserted from the other side of the underbody

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Contains: Left rear wheel arch, Right rear wheel arch and Assorted screws.

Take the left rear wheel arch, marked with an L, and align the two holes in the tabs with the holes in the posts on the underbody. Then tighten a KM screw into each set of aligned holes to fix the left wheel arch to the underbody.

Now place the right rear wheel arch onto the underbody, aligning the holes of both parts. Then tighten a KM screw into each set of aligned holes to secure the wheel arch.

Pack 4 is now complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.
