BigGrin Hi All

The build starts with the cockpit lots of pre-painting to be done on all the parts before assembly can begin. I used inks, watercolour pencils and normal model paints to get the wood effects and used look.

The elastic thread was used for the rigging wires and Ezeline for the control cables. Still more parts to add but thats it for now.

More soon.

Your wood effect looks very convincing Andy and that's a nicely detailed cockpit too. The model will look great when finished. Cool ThumpUp

BigGrin For anyone who is interested in the techniques used for the wood effect painting I found them when I watched this guys build of the same Kit. Its well worth watching all the way through the six episodes as there are a wealth of tips and techniques used in the build that could easily be used on other builds.

BigGrin Hi All

The cockpit has been placed in the fuselage and masked ready for painting [ the guns will get masked later ] and the lower wing fixed to the fuselage.

The engine has been made up into three sub assemblies ready for painting too.

The lower wing surfaces have been painted a linen colour and some weathering using oils has been applied.

More soon.
