Ahoy Shipmates,

Could you please tell me that the belaying pins on the mizzen masts collar can be glued in place or they should only be inserted to allow to take them out for rigging later in the progress?

Thanks

BigGrin Hi Laszlo I tend not to glue the belay pins until after the rigging. I run the thread down through the hole in the pin rack and place the pin in the hole with a tiny drop of ca glue to hold it in place then wrap the thread around the pin Cool
Hope this helps

Down to personal choice here. Some modellers glue them in place other simply place them in position as once a rigging line is attached to a belay pin then it'll stay in position anyway if it is rigged in the correct way.

As the others have said, Its personal choice. you certainly shouldn't have any issues if you fix them in place, I tend to do it at the point a belay the rigging just in case I find a need to remove it for some reason.

I tend not to glue mine because, as Alan says, once the rigging is in place they can't go anywhere and you can remove them if necessary.

Hello,

Thanks for the advise from all of you, I won't glue them in place.
