After some time fairing the frames, (a few needed to be added to, then sanded, to meet the edge of the decks),all came out meeting the planking just fine. Problem is, all but frame 11. It's about 2 mm short on it's width, top to bottom, on both sides. Is this normal? Thinking I'll have to add to it to butt up to the planking. Thanks for any replies! Bruce Bruce

I seem to recall and its a long time now since i did vics hull, that there was one frame that needed building up quuite a bit. Sounds like you know what your up to and got it in hand so if you feel you need to build it up do so, you dont want a dip in the hull planking Jase “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

Hi Bruce, posting a pic of your query would help greatly. Frame 11 is one of the bow formers and I don't recall it needing building up at all. Take a look at issue 20 of the Official Build, it shows very nicely how it should look after the initial fairing is done.. https://forum.model-spac....aspx?g=posts&t=814
If you can post a pic then it would be a great help for us.... Regards Alan

Thanks guys, but my mistake! After Alan's reply,I realize I mistook frame 12 for 11, it's 12 that's the problem! Bruce
