It’s sad. A lot of things were recycle or destroyed before the historical significance was realized. I will never see a real example of my favorite submarine because the US sunk them to keep the Russians form getting a loom at them. The airplane that goes with that submarine has exactly one example left in existent because someone found one sitting in a factory.

Such a shame because WWII planes are some of the most beautiful planes ever built.

BigGrin I built the Tamiya I-400 on here ages ago it was the kit with the clear view cut away into the hanger. Hatchett Japan did a part work of the sub too.Cool

The first photo labelled as B29s actually shows B32 Dominators. The only bit of B32 airframe left is an outer wing panel mounted as a kind of obelisk in a memorial park in San Diego.

I been eyeing up that Woody Joes kit. It's a 1/144 scale. What scale was the Hatchett one? I would love to get my hands on that.
