The concourse guys would knock points off if you had painted lettering but many E Types, C Types, D Types and Jag mk.II's have painted lettering. Same on the oil filler cap.
For the purists and trophy-chasers - NEVER. For the chaps who just love their cars - anything goes. (I'm in the latter crowd)

Hi Roy thanks for your Advise but to each his own as they say i was not sure if he jaguar logos were painted on any etype jaguar until delboy sent a photo showing them painted so that will do for me but if you say they should Never be painted i believe you Roy because you seem to know more about etypes than most modellers which is good for those that need your help and advise Gold Finger

Thanks for that Mr G. I'm not an E Type expert but yes, I'm a monster Jaguar fan, particularly the older ones. I have a couple of friends with E Types, one of which is an original Cunningham lightweight. I've got TONS of reference pics of the Cunningham which helped me build my model of that car. All the pics are my model. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Many thanks Mr G.
Have to say, I'm tempted to build one for myself now seeing as the car owner has this model.
