It was originally thought that the gun carriages were painted red.
However, since the publication was compiled, information has come to light from an account book entry which indicates black paint (lampblack) specifically for the gun carriages.
Therefore for authenticity, the Vasa official build will reflect black gun carriages.

The guns themselves are unpainted bronze as indicated in the official build
