This will be my entry to the RAF 100 build competition. I found this in the loft today and its just crying out to be built as the aircraft is a favourite of mine. Due to time constraints it will be a straight out of the box build so lets have a look at whats in the box. At first glance Trumpeter have made a great job of this iconic machine and its no surprise that their Lightning kits are a much sought after kit. Al Spal attached the following image(s):

Hi great to see another entry,nice choice of kit,will be following ,cheers Mick. Builds hms victory, suzuki gsx 1300 R hayabusa, honda C B 750, lamborghini countach L P 500 S, tamiya 1/16 rc full option tiger 1 tank,
built, Mclaren M P 4 - 23. Occre london tram,
Stash.airfix 1/24 mosquito. Diag Virginia schooner, tamiya 1/6 honda 750, tamiya 1/35 famo, tamiya 1/35 flak 88.

Looks a very nice kit Al and should build into a stunning model especially in 1:32 scale! I hope you have a lot of fun with building it and wishing you good luck in the competition mate.

Nice kit Al, love this aircraft. It was also one of the first airfix model kits I had as a kid, no paint just a tube of glue. Good luck in the comp. Mark

Good luck with the build Al looks an amazing kit regards Phil COMING SOON =1/72 Italeri diorama`s Battle for the Reichstag and Stalingrad battle at the tractor factory 1/16 Trumpeter King Tiger with loads of extras ON THE GO= refurbishment of 1/25 Tamiya tiger 1 , amt Star trek kits and space 1999 models

Thanks guys, made a start on her and got the seat done and began the intake area and jet pipes. The undercarriage bays, which are nicely detailed, were fitted to the upper wing halves and are awaiting some paint. Finally the fin and tailplane halves were glued together.
