This will be my entry to the RAF 100 build competition. I found this in the loft today and its just crying out to be built as the aircraft is a favourite of mine. Due to time constraints it will be a straight out of the box build so lets have a look at whats in the box. At first glance Trumpeter have made a great job of this iconic machine and its no surprise that their Lightning kits are a much sought after kit.

Nice kit Al, love this aircraft. It was also one of the first airfix model kits I had as a kid, no paint just a tube of glue.
Good luck in the comp.BigGrin ThumpUp

Thanks guys, made a start on her and got the seat done and began the intake area and jet pipes. The undercarriage bays, which are nicely detailed, were fitted to the upper wing halves and are awaiting some paint. Finally the fin and tailplane halves were glued together.
