BigGrin Hi All

The Decals were added to the nose cone after the masks were removed then the two vents were painted black and added to the vent holes. Next the wheels were assembled after spraying the rear half black and the front halves gold.

Once everything was ready the forward body parts, nose cone and wheel rims were sprayed with Diamond finish clear-coat. Note the parts are only placed together to give an impression of the finished look.
More soon.

Very nice paint job Andy looks fab. ThumpUp

I'm a little confused though as to why you've painted the outer halves of the wheels gold? I've only ever seen them as chrome with the spoked centres being black? Huh Confused

Nice work all the same. Cool ThumpUp

BigGrin Hi Kev

I agree the wheels should be a polished metal/chrome type finish and did try to reproduce this but the finish just looked too toy like as mentioned in other builds of this kit. My solution was to use the same gold paint on the wheels as used on the rest of the body work.

BigGrin Hi All

Bit more done the front suspension and wish bones were assembled to the front of the car then the gear stick was added to the driver bucket and glued in place on the body. Next the seat belts were assembled from the etch parts and pre-cut seat belt parts. The driver figure was painted matt white then the head was painted as per the instructions.

The seat belt was added to the figure along with his head and then fixed into the car. The arms will be fixed in line with the steering wheel when its fitted.

More soon.

BigGrin Hi All

Graeme now has arms which were fitted after the dash and steering wheel were glued in position and the inner windscreen was next glued to the forward central panel and fixed in place. The outer windscreen goes on next then the roll bar was placed to the rear. then the forward radiator was fixed along with the other parts.

The exhausts were made up and then fitted to the engine. Next the engine and body were joined together. I noticed the chrome needs touching up on a couple of pictures but is easily fixed.

More soon.
