Hi

Do you really think that this is a great model?

And what about the fact that the front wheels almost do not turn right and left?
Have you already installed the rear wheels?
Are you satisfied that they do not rotate?

The quality of the cast parts is very mediocre.
Painting is poor quality!
All metallized parts must be remade! The metallization is incredibly poor quality!
Seats can be immediately thrown in the trash!
Seats need to be done anew!
Very low level of detail study!
A lot of inaccuracies and mistakes!

I'm redoing almost every detail to ensure that the model is at least of acceptable quality!

I could not even imagine that DeAgostini could release a model so low in quality!

Do you still think that this is the "Great Model"?

Hello there.

Just a thought - the E Type isn't available in Russia yet so yours will be with English instructions I guess.
Maybe you've made a few small errors by mistake?

Roy.

Hello Roy

I ordered a model through my friend in England.
English is not my native language but I read instructions and technical literature without problems.

Look at the attached photos

Roy
If you have doubts about my competence as a modeler, here are a few photos.
By the way, by profession I am a designer.

I really love Jaguar E-Type!
And despite the awful quality of the model, I will assemble this model to the end, although for this I will have to rework most of the details.

Regards
Vyacheslav

It's clear you're a very competent model maker but I'm left wondering why you are continuing with the E Type subscription if you genuinely think it's so bad.

I'm not in any way trying to be argumentative or rude - it's a genuine question.

I'm building the E Type too and so far I haven't had the problems you've encountered.
I am also adding lots of detail etc but I'm enjoying doing it, not finding it annoying that I have to.

There are many levels of model making and the E Type is a really good model for the market it's aimed at.
It does also give good scope for those who wish to 'go the extra mile'.

It would be good to see your Jag build so far if you'd like to post where you're up to.

The build of the Jaguar will not go quickly.
All parts need to be repainted.
Accordingly, the painting will begin only after receiving all the numbers.
If you are interested, I can publish the stages of reworking parts, preparing parts for painting, making alternative parts.

For information, I live and work in Moscow in Russia
