i have a bit of an issue with the hinged dome panel in issue 64. mine is really wobbly (side to side). i did the long screw that holds the panel to the hinge as tight as it would go, and the hinge is fully secured down to the frame, yet the panel has really excessive movement from side to side, to the point where it sometimes gets stuck under the dome, or sits on top not fitting down properly - the panel its self is a perfect fit through aperture in the dome. there seems to be quite a large gap between the 2 arms on the panel and the block on the hinge they fit over. i understand it need to be loose enough to open/close freely, but this seems excessive. is this normal, or do i just have a faulty part to replace? or i wonder if i could make some sort of 'spacer' or 'washer' to fill the gap and prevent the wobble? thanks Building:

Hi James On my hinge there is play of about half a mil to each side and I have had no issue with the door plate getting trapped in any way. If you look at the official build video for issue 64 you will see how the door should fit. link below:- https://www.youtube.com/...phYZW9OUKndCE_wekwtnEGN
It would help if you put a build diary up of your work with pictures as this would help us spot if anything is going wrong with your build or even pictures of the offending hinge. Hi andy, I do have a build diary, it just fell behind with updates, but i added upto issue 65 at the weekend so it is fully upto date now. Its good to hear that the movement is normal and expected (or at least seems to be the same as yours) so thanks for that. I was just concearned if it got trapped it could damage tue light saber tube or motor when trying to eject it. I just dont want to order replacements if its its not necessary. Being clear about a problem from the start will get an answer more quickly rather than vague statements and what ifs. Just a thought second guessing future problem's that are imagined what if's can cause others to get concerned over matters that they do not need to be worried about. We are building a model here not watching the Conspiracy Theory channel on the TV and the overactive imaginations of the people making the films. Hi andy, Sorry, i mean it does get trapped atm, its not all the time though, just depends on the angle is as obviously the r2 isnt vertical is it, and i was concearned if it trapped because its moved too far one way or the other when the light saber popped up it may damage something. I wasnt second guessing a problem at all. The flap dosent stay in the same exact position, it wobbles around on the pivot screw if you follow me. I think i may have confused you with how i wrote it in the 2nd post - sorry for that. I am at work atm, but shall take some better pictures when i get home this afternoon to show what i mean. hi andy, just to let you know, i think ive managed to solve the issue. i very gently squeezed the 'arms' on the panel together just a little bit with some pliers and it has significantly reduced the wobble i was having, the panel opens up easily and smoothly and fits the gap in the dome perfectly every time now. thank you for your replies. james Building:
