Just a quickie,
Having completed the quarterdeck and rear gunports/bulwark, i was wondering whether it necessary to protect the deck with a coat of sanding sealer, or would it be better to wait until the deck is furnished.Huh

Hi Dave (is it Dave) I would wait untill you have finished sanding the deck and you are happy with the finish.

Sanding sealer is the last thing to apply when you have totaly finished.

Thanks for that, all advice helps. I have sanded the deck, and i thought sanding sealer might protect the finish, and the nail/plank markings until such time as the furniture is attached to the deck. I remember when i did the middle gun deck that it didnt look as 'fresh' when i applied satin varnish as when it was first done.?
