Hi everyone I just thought I would post some Photos of the preperation and sanding required to the Bow and Stern pieces.

Hi everyone,

While I watched Stoke City win yet again in the Europa football league,I decided to start to plank the Akagi.

The only deviation to the instuctions I made was to fit planks to both sides of the Bow so the tension would be even and less likely to have a bias or twist here come the photos:-

I have made sure the joints are well clamped, which I always like to do,this allows the adhesive to make a good fix.

Good morning everyone,
It is now 12 hours since I put the first planks on the Bow, and with the clamps removed I can reveal the plank framework.I am pleased with the result BigGrin

It is now ready to receive the planks I have left and more planks when the next delivery comes

mike, just in case you are interested, i saw some rolson clamps in a local tesco selling at 1.00 for 4, by the look of your current navy fleet you are building you may need some more.
