ISSUE 5 PARTS 17 TO 20

Continuing with the planking I am now doing the Port side, at this point the planks are fixed while they are wet,they will dry in shape then I can glue them in place.

Please exuse the gaps they will go when I fit them permanentlyBigGrin Cool

ISSUE 5 PARTS 21 TO 24

Hi Team I started by fitting the Port and Starboard side Deck Plates,and as MR T found, rib 24 was lower by 2mm than the others so I packed it with a scrap piece of 5x2mm planking(see Photo) I then glued them and put some pins in to hold till set.

Forgive me asking Mike,but if 24 was 2mm lower then surely 25 is as well?
Asking this because the deck seems to slope down,also I hope to be resuming my Vic build & starting this & Hood as well.

Hi Rob, no it was only rib 24 for some reason, and I know my ribs were well pushed home.

Have a look at The offical build same thing happened to MR TBigGrin strange or what?

Hi Team

I have finished planking the Hull with the long planks,when the adhesive is dry I will take the ship off the Dry Dock and then finish the planking of the Hull with the short planks.

The decks have been dry fitted,as per the instuctions,and the aft deck pieces have been stuck together

You have the middle deck section upside down, the long slot should be on the port side, see step 3 on page 110 of the steps
