Hey, Right now im up to part 8 and im suffering a problem.
The wheel shaft will not fit into the upright correctly, the top of the shaft does not go all the way into the hole.
I have tried as many things as I possibly can think of but still wont go in.

Can anyone help?

The hole should be hexagonal shape to stop the shaft from spinning so it looks like to me it might me a dud hub with the wrong shape hole and depth... Send a PM to Admin to see if you can have the parts re-sent.. I would suggest heating the shaft so that it "melts" its way into the correct possition or if you can drill out the hole to the right size and depth checking each time you do a bit then a dop of superglue to secure it in there..

If the hexagonal stub of the axle was not perfectly aligned and was forced into the upright, then its unlikely you'll get the axle located thereafter because it will have damaged the corresponding hexagonal alignment sleeve of the upright. Best way is to replace the upright or attempt a fix as Warthog has suggested.

-I nearly had the same prob,I had a look at the hole with magnifying headset, and saw that the bolthead had been misaligned slightly,so used a very small file and a sharp blade to recut shaped hole.and all was well.

I think it's near impossible to build this properly without a magnifier unless you have eyesight of an eagle Laugh

There quite stiff aswell, you need to really force them in, even when they are lined up. Anyway, how old are you guys, you all need magnifiers? BigGrin

I struggled getting those pieces in too so I used the back (flat part) of my scalpel and they went in perfectly without damage.
