Hi All
Hasegawa has been producing these kits for a good few years now and they have a big following in Japan and with other modelers. The 'Luna Tactical Reconnaissance Machine' or LUM-168 Camel is one of the more eye catching kits available.
The sturdy box is typical for this type of kit with a retro matt look with photo,s of the finished model. On opening the box you see the moulded glass cockpit cover and below several sprues in different colour plastic, vinyl and rubber. A word on the styrene provided its very stiff and it clicks when tapped unlike some of the soft styrene some company's are providing lately. Most of the sprue's are in white plastic and are for the main body parts the darker plastic is for the engines and cockpit area's. In all some nice detail is moulded into these parts.
Another sprue has the vinyl joint parts as the legs will be movable when the model is completed if you have made any Bandai kits its the same type of jointing used in those kits. The last but one sprue has the figure parts on it. The last sprue contains all the rubber tubes very much like those that you can see on a JCB's Hydraulic hoses on the jibs. More small hose and wire is also provided.
The instructions are clear and show all the assembly and painting colours. The decals provided have options for 6 different models. The last thing provided is the decal application card, these are quite detailed and are a collectors item.
In all avery nice kit with good detail that should build into a nice little kit.
