A small celebration of his life and acheivements held at the Loughborough Library near to where I live.

Mostly a reading exercise with pictures of "Jonnie" at several stages in his life along with school reports from Loughborough Grammer School where he attended. Before becoming a pilot he was quite the sportsman and competed in the schools football and cricket teams. To this day he is still the only senior boy to have won the cross-country three years in a row.

Several books written by and about "Jonnie" were also on display.

I have attached just two pictures:

The first is the inside cover of a book gifted to him when he left active service that was signed by the officers of the 114 maintainance unit.

The second is of his medal ribbons, his actual medals being sold for just over £241,000.
