Hi this will be my entry into the F1 historic competition
Ebbro 1/20 Team Lotus Type 91 1982 first a little history.
Satoru Nakajima won the all Japan F2 championship in 1982 driving a March 782 with gold and jet black John Player special sponsorship for the l&l racing team headed by Tetsu lkuzawa. As a reward for winning the series,he was able to attend the winter test of Team Lotus, the British based formula 1 team sponsored by John Player Special. At this time Team Lotus revealed its Type 91 but there only victory in the 1982 season was at the Austrian grand prix won by Elio de angelis. Sadly that was the last race that Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman, founder of Team Lotus attended, as he died of heart attack Christmas in that year. On December 7th, a Lotus Type 91 was prepared for Satoru Nakajima at the Donnington Park circuit located in central England. The tyres were changed from Goodyear to Pirelli. The team also tried 2 types of rear cowling, but at the end of the test, they removed all of the rear cowling and the car raced with a bare engine.the team were surprised that he drove the Type 91 without any trouble although the test was his first F1 experience. In spite of bad weather, he set a fast lap of 40 seconds.Team lotus manager Peter Warr said that this test was the biggest reason that Satoru was adopted as a regular driver for Team Lotus. And few pics of kit content.cheers mick.

Hi thanks to all who looked in and left comments much appreciated, done bit more on this, put more parts on the engine, attached the transmission, put the exhausts in,the instruction got the wrong exhausts in the wrong ports, but it obvious where eh go, cause they just won't fit otherwise.started on the monocoque, put the back wall on, and the front suspension, on instruction 6 it tells you to cut off parts on front spoiler supports, don't or you will have nothing to attach them on.put the carbon fiber decals on top half of monocoque, it gives you metal stickers to put on the dots, trouble is there more dots than stickers,so I'll either leave them off or just do the sides, leaving top as it is.also added seatbelts decal to seat.needs few touch ups to tidy it up a bit.cheers mick.
