Hi Folks,
Finally plucked up the courage to add some pics of my build.
Can't call this a build diary as lots of work done before I took any pics but thought I would share what I have.

Thought it was about time that I added a few more pics of my build. Originally I intended to copper plate my hull, but wanted to add a layer of paint first to hide any gaps in the plates. This became a bit of a mission, I applied several coats of Mr Surfacer 1200 spray & then attempted to add a coat or two of paint.
This didn't go well! The paint seemed very 'grainy' no matter how well I mixed it and trying not to get 'copper swadowing' where brush stropkes met seemed impossible.
After about 4 coats of paint, which meant purchasing 2 more pots from CMB, I was at wits end and just had to get it looking as best as I could.
I ended up filtering the paint through an old pair of tights & putting it through my airbrush. An acceptable finish at last!
Not perfect but I was happy but also scared to apply the plates for fear of a cock up!
I've added a couple of pics of the primer coats & an overall shot of the painting, will add a closer image shortly.
