Whilst looking for something totally obscure to this I found what looks like a great labour saving device and one that will give any model railway enthusiast a tidy rail track on their layout. A ballast spreader

The link below is for OO/HO gauge, but I believe there is one available for N gauge as well and it shouldn`t be to hard to make one for other scale tracks.
