Hi, I'm at stage 52 and enjoying the build but not making any mods to the kit as supplied. My only gripe has been the outer wheel spokes, picture attached, not pretty but not seen once inner rim fitted. Alec alemo attached the following image(s): Built: Bluenose, Arab Dhow, HMS Bounty, Hummer H1, D51, Spitfire,E type Jaguar. In Progress: HMS Victory, , Yamaha YZR-M1

Nicely done Alec. Coming along very nicely.
The spokes in your first pic show why I've always thought them too short. Generally the ends that you show securing them in place are at about 45 degrees to the long part of the spoke. Of course they started out at 90 degrees but won't fit over that way... and they're really tough to bend for what I consider half a fit. Still, they're not going anywhere and mine are the same... just darn hard work and a few broken fingernails.

Issues 53-56 incl. I guess it must be due to manufacturing tolerance but this wheel gave me some grief where the other three that I have assembled didn't. First row of spokes fine no problem. Second row, no way were they going to fit, so my solution, ease the angle at the outer end and shorten the spoke secure with CA adhesive. Hopefully the pictures show what I have done. Hi Everyone, stages 57 - 60. Stage 57 is just a tyre to fit so no problem. Stage 58 - 60 driver controls, tunnel and floor. Regrettably no enhancements, just put it together. Stage 61 - 64 Problem here when fitting the brake light switch, the cockpit assembly slipped in my dodgey hand and the gear stick was no more. I flattened the ends and ca glue is now holding it but it's very vulnerable so take care those who have this to come. Gear stick and handbrake could be left out until after seats fitted without causing a problem. Dashboard was no problem at all.
