The French training ship, Belem, was launched in 1896 and is the last French three-masted ship as well as the oldest three-masted sailing ship in Europe. This impressive ship was built in Nantes and was mainly used in the Caribbean.

Before the Belem was rediscovered in Venice in the late 1970’s, it had been motorized and renamed for various different uses namely luxury cruises and for training purposes. It was then purchased with the support of a French bank in order to undergo the restoration of the ship which has been successfully completed. The Belem finally received the classification of Historical Monument on 27th February 1984.

Now that's a ship I like the look of. I watched the video and read the instructions and am very impressed.
Definitely 1 of my ones to buy.
