Interesting article, but two things. I live in the states and I drive on average 20,000-25,000 miles a year. I think that changes the equation. Another thing, it depends on your electric prices and how you get your electricity. I think on average for me it would be cheaper to run a Tesla, although I cannot afford to buy one. Im more in the Toyota Prius price range. I think electric is a step in the right direction. Each individual needs to look at their needs. I am amazed, as I have friends who have paid 50,000 + for their trucks and the first house I ever owned, I paid 49,000. To each his own.

Think you mean had over "again" Were we not told that diesel was the greener future, now they want to tax/charge for entering and even charge extra for parking in a city etc, etc. We`ll all go electric at a major cost to the motorist and then there will be a tax on getting rid of old power cells.
