Looking a the recent videos released of this kit, I have some questions about accuracy when compared to the ILM filming models.

The intakes don't look complete. The video shows no horizontal or vertical piece in the intakes. The intake should also have vanes like an airliner engine. All of this seems to be missing from the model in the video.

The Canopy appears to have too much of an upsweep at the forward canopy frame.

What's with the gaps in the sides of the fuselage?

Canopy looks way too tall in the frontal shot too, maybe not the canopy, could be the fuselage itself, but it looks very off. What reference was this kit derived from?

The lower fuselage looks off at the nose too, some weird curvature?

Would anyone from Deag or Model Space like to comment?

I believe DeAgostini used a development prototype for the early promotional material which couldn’t be fixed ahead of the filming schedule. There are in fact other items that you've not picked up. They are being fixed and retrofitted in the model itself and in still photographs, but there was nothing anyone could do about the video promo.

That's a satisfactory answer. I'm onboard with this model, but just had some concerns from what was presented.

Thank you for you quick response.

Mark Hamill is to return as ‘Luke Skywalker’ in Star Wars Episode IX, which does not yet have its title but is scheduled for release in December 2019. May the Force be with the X-wing!

I’d rather have had the mirrored base and stand. There’s no point having movable wings and light up engines if it’s landed on a diorama.

Nope the finger performed beautifully. It zeroed in on the enter key with the words "stay on target stay on target" in the background and as it pulled up from the successful dive it could hear Obis voice in the background saying "the force will be with you always".
