Hi everyone. I made a really annoying mistake on my rear wing. I was just finishing the wing by gluing on the 'rear wing endplate (left)' and I didn't notice that I put too much glue on and it oozed out onto my finger. Unaware of this, I applied pressure to the parts to let the glue set and the glue on my finger removed a bit of paint on the 'e' of 'Vodafone' Crying. I've tried to take off the 'rear wing (upper)' with the damaged 'e' but the glue is set too strong. Does anyone know what tone of paint I could use to patch up the mistake because I don't think it is a standard white? Confused

I’ve never made a model kit before but I’ve always wanted to make a model of the Lewis Hamilton’s McLaren as I am a big fan.

Hi ToffaMore (i'm sure your parents did'nt really choose that name) lol

The only reason the white does look like a different shade is because it is over the pink/orange and "bleeds" through... If this is the first time you have made a model then i would not attempt to fix this as there is a bit of work to do to make it look good.. i have no idea what your finances are like but i would re-order another copy/back issue and replace the wing... Either that or i'm sure if you gave someone your address in a private email and has an airbrush etc.. Would be happy to see if they can help you out :-)

Going to extend this to anyone else who may have made the odd mistake and needs help.. over a year to go to do this but as long as your in no rush depending on the amount of work to be done then I am willing to help.. there may be a small fee but this is to cover postage and materials

Sorry but the full works/respray etc cannot at this time be offered

Haha Laugh , my name is Christopher More so the name ToffaMore is a play on the last part of the name chrisTOPHER with my surname.

I've managed to take off the rear wing upper part so I will be ordering a back issue to replace it. I'll try and be more careful in the future issues not to make a mistake again.

Thanks for your help and your reply BigGrin .
