Hi Ronald, the crimping tool normally comes with two blades, the sharper of the blades is used for cutting planks and the other is used for bending. If your planks keep cutting then I suspect you are using the wrong blade....

Alan

The blade for the plank bender has two sides a blade side for cutting as you have found out and a flat square side, use the flat square side for plank bending. The wood should be soaked in warmish water for about 20 minutes before you use the plank bender on the wood. As the wood will be wet after bending and swollen from the water its best to pin it in position without glue and let it dry over night. Once dry it will have formed to the shape of the hull and will be easier to glue in place on the model. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
