Pack 3 Contains parts for Stages 10 to 15.

Stage 10 contains – Silencer Front, Silencer Rear, Switch Parts and Fittings, Pipe Bracket and Fittings, Bracket and Fittings.

You will need the assembly from Stage 9 and the switch parts provided this time.

Place the switch into the casing, making sure it is in the correct orientation. The switch base has a projection on the underside that engages with a corresponding hole in the handlebar.

Place the switch bracket into the groove in the middle of the base. When placing the base onto the handlebar, ensure that the ‘U’ shaped projection is facing inwards. Prise the ends of the bracket apart slightly and place over the handlebar, holding the base in place. Once the bracket is in place, adjust the position until the projection on the base engages with the hole in the handlebar.

Squeeze the ends of the bracket together again so that it fits tightly around the handlebar. Check that the ‘U’ shaped projection is facing inwards. Insert the screw through the aligned holes at the end of the bracket. Holding the screw in position, place the nut onto the end of it and then tighten them together.

Fit the casing, with the switch, onto the switch bracket and press firmly into place.

This Stage is now complete. Carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag for future use.

Stage 11 contains – Exhaust Pipe, Pipe Brackets and fittings.

Prepare the silencer parts. Take the pipe bracket and place it over the front end of the silencer rear. Slide the bracket along the silencer, up to the line. Make sure that the longer end of the bracket is pointing away from the top of the fin at the end of the silencer.

The sections of the silencer parts are D-shaped so that they will fit together in only one orientation. Side the silencer rear into the hole in the silencer front. Push the two halves of the silencer together.

Insert the bolt through the aligned holes of the bracket. You may need to squeeze the two sides of the bracket together with pliers. Place the nut onto the threaded end of the bolt and tighten by hand. Fully tighten the nut and bolt together using the cross wrench.

This Stage is now complete. Carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag for future use.

Prepare the pieces for the lower silencer and lay them out in their correct positions.

Take the long straight bracket and place it onto the end of the silencer rear. Push the bracket up to the line on the silencer, making sure it is in the correct orientation. Insert the D-shaped end of the silencer rear into the silencer front and press the two parts together.

Insert a bolt through the aligned holes in the bracket and tighten a nut onto it. Slide the second bracket over the front of the silencer, up to the recess. Align the holes in the bracket, insert a bolt through them and tighten a nut onto the end of the bolt, securing the bracket in position.

This Stage is now complete. Carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag for future use.

You will need the silencer assembly from Stage 13 and the exhaust pipe and fittings for the lower exhaust pipe.

Place one of the brackets onto the front end of the lower silencer. Align the D-shaped ends of the exhaust pipe and the silencer and insert the end of the silencer into the exhaust pipe. The bracket should cover the join.

Insert a bolt through the aligned holes of the bracket and tighten a nut onto the end of it. Place the remaining bracket onto the round end of the exhaust pipe. Place a bolt through the aligned holes and secure it with a nut.

Match the ends of the exhaust pipe and push them together.

This Stage is now complete. Carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag for future use.

Stage 15 contains – Sissy Bar and Screws.

Prepare the pieces of the horn.

Take the end of the cable coming from the circuit board and pass it through the hole in the horn case. Keep pulling the cable through until the circuit board is up against the case. Carefully press the board into the recess in the case.

Take the horn cover, align the pins on it with the holes in the case and press the cover into place.

Take the mounting plate upper and align the holes in it with the pins on the case. The pins and holes are different sizes so they can only fit together in one orientation. Press the mounting plate upper onto the pins.

This completes the assembly of Pack 3. Carefully store any remaining parts in stage labelled bags.
