Hey shipmates,

I'm currently at issue 36. The issue where you fit the garboard plank.

I'm quite confused by the instructions and looking at the pictures on this forum has answered one question I had (in regards to if it's both sides or just one side at the stern) but it hasn't answered another question I had about the bow planking.

The instructions here completely confuse me, I just can't work out what I'm meant to be doing:

The bow plank must run straight on from the centre section, twisted to fit the false keel and new fillet between frames 13 and 14. Do not bend the plank to follow the curve of the keel.

Please could someone shed some clarity on this issue and describe what I have to do (or not do) more clearly.

Much appreciated.

they twist bit is the stern end as it runs towards the stern it needs a twist as it leaves the ribs, keeping it straight towards the rudder, the other end (bow)(front)only continues straight and don't bend it round the ribs.

Thanks. So by not bending it round the ribs at the bow I just cut the plank when it starts to bend so it finishes straight?

Doesn't say I have to cut it or nowt, just has a picture with it overhanging going straight (which I'm guessing you don't just leave it like that) Laugh.

As for Mr T guide, I haven't seen it but will try to search for it now. Edit: Nope can't find it Confused
