These were the fastest ships that ever did the tea run. Also known as Clippers for their sleek lines and the way the seemed to cut through the waves. But more importantly as far as the owners were concerned these ships cut time of the 6 week journey time to and from China to about 30 days I believe [but not sure] that the last of the line also had boilers and used steam power when there was little or no wind Plus they also had 5 masts [loads of rigging]. Perhaps we could start with The STS Sedov [still afloat but a sail training ship for the Russians now] which was 117.5metres long (2.2mtrs in Model space terms, or 7.21ft if me maths is correct) Now there a build
