Hi All I want to take my build to the local pub to show it off to my friends. It has not got any masts on it yet. Any thoughts or suggestions First Build HMS Victory and HMS Endeavour Also Krick steam boat "Victoria" Cheers Ivan (Ordinary Seaman) http://www.old-glossop.com

cardboard box with foam lining is the way I would go.on a foam stand.have a look at my build for the stand. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/

measure the size and knock something up in light weight wood?, then add some fabric (strong) handles??
just a thought, at least get you on the move.

Or you could download some photos of your build onto your laptop and take the laptop to the pub. Happy building Daffy09

I do a fair amount of work early doors in the pub. I am cutting the frames for the gun ports here. I take my ships dog to the pub and she takes/gets me home at the end of the night. Dig a canal from your front door to the pub (bar) and sail her as she was intended. No white van for HMS Victory.

A nice picture, full of harmony with ship and best friend. Albatross, build in 1982 from plans. Hms Bounty, build in 1987 from plans. Duyfken,build in 1991 from plans Oosterland, build in 1998 from plans 2010 Hms Victory kit from Deagostini
In the meantime. 2011 Building MFV 1963 fishing trawler from plan.
