Thank you for looking in and your comments.

I cannot claim a lot of skill on my part to assemble this model as all parts fit very well straight from the box.
I am enjoying it never the less and the end product should be magnificent.

Issue 6 is the air box and the engine block and all very well detailed, you need some good tweezers and don't drop anything because a magnet won't find it.

Hi everyone, thanks for the comments.

Issue no 7

Stage 25 step 3 and 4. Fixing cylinder block to engine block.

I found that following the instructions there appeared to be a screw missing (I don't think it's me) and instead of the usual single spare screw there were two spares. With only two screws fitted to one side only, it tended to gap on the other side. This is my opinion, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Alec,
You might just want to check if it's seated properly, unless it's just the angle of the photo?
Have you tried taking it apart to see if you can get the block square to the head?
Do the holes line up correctly?

Regards
Gray

Hi Gray,

Holes are aligned correctly, outside of casing absoluteley in line, without the additional screw it was possible to open a gap on the opposite side to the two screws shown in the instructions. Why else is the hole there but to take a third screw?

I'm sure that it's a missing instruction.

Hi Alec
I think it's the light casting a shadow below your exhaust portsBlushing. If it all sits flush, then you shouldn't have any problems going forward.
Looking at step 5 of that same stage, the screw should be used then, if i'm reading it right. Having checked mine i can't see a screw in that slot either, but everything is sitting tight and square. Agree, can't think why there is no screw in that hole Confused

Not sure if you can make it out in the photo. Hope that helps.

I still think your making a good job of it though Love
Cheers Gray

Hi Everybody,

At last pack eight arrived, it consists of more details to the power unit.

One small detail that I enjoyed is the gear change lever, once installed and the sump fitted with the switches installed operation of the gear change lever gives a nice click as if something is actually happening. (I'm easily pleased).

All components fitted as they should and now I go and do something else for a month "yes dear I will do it now"

Hi Everybody,

This is pack 9.

More additions to the power unit. Not a screw in sight. I found that some of the push fit pins were a bit too tight and would not allow the components to fit fully home so finished up removing the paint from them to get a good fit and then used a little adhesive to ensure they stayed in place.

This is a very nicely detailed model that is a pleasure to assemble.

Hello everybody,

Pack 11, stages 40 - 43 incl. Air Reservoir, Frames and Cross Members.

Right hand frame is not screwed down as more work to be done in next stages.

Feels like progress now frames are included, (nice lumps of metal).
