Hi all,well i've finally started to build the Yamato,to overcome the missing/wrong frame 7 i've cut the 2 studs off a frame 8 and left in the correct position for the time being.Will post pics at a later date,when i've built 3/4 sections of the base/keel.Bye all,happy modelling.Just got to wait for issue 2 >Phil

Hi Arpurchase,thanks for reply,how's ur build coming along?i've nearly completed the 1st issue,just the bow section to do.I'm going to building 3 ships they are Yamato,Cutty Sark from Deag & the Hood from Hachette,should keep busy for a while.Cheers m8,be in touch later.Phil

BigGrin Hi Phil check out my build diary to see my progress, had a few issues with warped former[14] but sorted those with the soak and clamp method. so far the quality of the parts is good looking forward to seing your build diary

Hi all have finished putting the frames in onto the hull,must say it's looking gud,still trying to put pictures on to the forum.Have a question or 2 for Mr T,what colour grey are u using for the hull and superstructer,is it Kure as i have seen on white ensign's site,what size eylets are u using,and what size are the ladders & stanchions should i get?any help most greatfully recieved,thanks.Phil

Hi Phil, paint info is noted in my build, for this build I chose Tamiya aerosols TS-66 Kure Grey and TS-33 dul red for below the waterline, both have a nice satin/matt finish rather than being totally flat.

Deck edge stabchions are provided in the kit, though are brass pins and threaded between; unsure what you mean about ladders, as PE ladders are provided in the kit
