This is my build of the Classic Airfix kit of HMS Ark Royal. its the third time I have built this model, the first two as a kid. I loved this model as unlike most models back in the late 70s I had some freedom to use my imagination with the positioning of cranes and aircraft, and to be honest its still just as much fun to build.

You can get etch for this kit, but personally I would not bother if you want an accurate looking Ark Royal, this is not the kit, go buy the merit 1:350 kit.

If you treat this for what it is a 50 year old kit and just enjoy the ride its great. Part fit is actually really good except for the deck to hull. other issues are mould quality on some parts, but hey thats fun to sort too
