Well i bit the bullet and ordered the Endevours lifeboat. a good first time boat and with some relevance to me given Captain Cooks history with New Zealand. Ordered and paid on Monday and the model arrived with me this morning at work.did a quick look through the box and will commence after i have got a few tools together probably this weekend.

Welcome to the forum, nice choice of first kit. I look forward to seeing your progress.

One tip, if you resize you pics so the file size is less than 140kb they will appear in your post without people having to download them. A guide on how to do this can be found here

Hi Erik and welcome to the forum.
Heres a picture editor I use. It'so easy to use because it shows up in the context menu. Here's the link:

https://download.cnet.com/s/image-resizer-for-windows-10/windows

And it's free!

Happy building
David

Thanks David as you can see i got it sorted BigGrin

interesting the price spread on this kit

Model space (not available as out of stock) are 50 pds + 100 pds freight works out at about $300nz
1 local supplier was $106 + $6 freight which is the one i got
another local supplier was $120 + $15 frieght
another was $135 + $11 freight

pays to look around sometimes

Erik

Look forward to seeing this one started. I have the same problem as you, in fact, SWMBO got so fed up, I've been relegated to the spare bedroom.
Happy building Erik

Opened the box to make a start and while removing the plastic shrink wrap saw a broken piece. Hmmmm took the rest of the piece out and glued it back together will see how that goes.
