Spent a superb day at this show yesterday and was very impressed with the builds on display covering all genre's except period ships. Not seeing period ships was a little disappointing but it didn't detract from the enjoyment had. They had also set up a stall purely designed to get the younger potential modellers started on the great hobby. The idea was to provide a free cheap kit, plus the paint and materials needed to put together and to have them sit there and start assembling, under supervision of course. Those that didn't finish their kit were welcome to take the kit home and finish it there. Great idea and hope to see other shows encouraging our younger generation in similar ways. Certainly a lot of very excited youngsters at this stall. Day started with a look round a full cockpit of the Jet Provost T4, this was something you could quite happily climb aboard and sit in, a great enticement for the little uns to have their pic taken complete with a fighter pilots helmet. A very popular display piece to have on the show. Took hundreds of pics and far too many to show here but I hope you enjoy looking through the ones posted.... Some great ideas of dio's too.... Hi Alan, That must have been a great day at the show,as you say it must have been a disappointment with out period ships as i would have felt the same,but you certainly enjoyed taking pictures for all of us see and other modelers skills.
