I built this model a while ago and yes the rigging is a challenge. Not sure what instructions you have but this model is available from model space. If you look at the model and click on the build tab you can download the build instructions in a PDF file. The one that covers the rigging is "Pack 4". I put these on my tablet, the main reason was that I had the ability to expand the pictures to view the rigging instructions.
One thing I always do with rigging is to ensure that all the holes in the block are clear, nothing worse when trying to thread the rigging through to find the hole is blocked or not even drilled out.
I did have to resort to pencil and paper with some of the rigging. By this I mean looking at the instructions you can see where the start and end points are but not too sure which way the thread goes. Sketch out the run of the thread from either to point of attachment to the block or hull and draw the lines. There will always be two points of attachment. Where the rigging is attached to the block this was always my start point.
Hopes this makes sense/helps and good luck. Don't give up, in any build I do I find that there are always times when it is just better to walk away for a while and approach the problem later
