PACK 12

This pack deals with the final parts of the car, and assembly of the completed vehicle.

The rear window shelf should be covered in leather to match the interior if you have also trimmed those parts of the model.
Cover the back of the leather with D/S tape and then apply it to the kit part on the upper face.

Carefully trim around the edge of the panel using a sharp knife blade. Cut a small slit over each handle locating hole and push the handles into place through the leather.

Fit the shelf to the interior of the body as per the kit instructions.

The rear engine cover is also assembled as per the instructions but the inside of the panel will look better if the recess under the wing is painted with gloss white paint.

Due to the way the kit part has been manufactured and painted, this area is very thin with paint coverage as supplied. Any good gloss enamel paint will work here but allow it to dry fully before proceeding with the build.

The body is fitted to the main floor now.

To make it easier, the wiring should be bunched and taped together wherever possible, and also taped down to the floor where it will not interfere with the build. This will help avoid having to move wires out of the way when fitting the heavy body.

Tape the loose ends of the seatbelts to the inside roof of the body for the time being.
Once the body is fitted the tape can easily be removed.

Keep the doors open when fitting the body to allow clearance for the ends of the dashboard as this part of the assembly is quite a tight fit.

The final parts of the body can now be fitted to complete the model.
Extra detail decals were also added at this point but this is optional.

Hopefully many of you will have added the extra details shown in this build and you should now have a model that is personalised in your own way.
