hi havin just painted the inside of the bulworks issue 47 with the yellow ochre the paint has dryed more like a light brown colour and nothing like the yellow as shown in the mag i bought the paint set from cornwall models anybody else had this problem nick

hi nick did you shake the paint well before you used it. as the colour dose settle in pots ian. Current builds.Hachettes build the bismark,HMS Victory, HMS Hood. Finished Builds Corel HMS Victory cross section.

Hi Nick, Mines is the same. The colour is correct it is a more orangy brown. Have a look at the Victory website at www.hms-victory.com hopefully this will put your mind at rest, Thanks Wilfy

mine the same i though it was more yellow too and till i was told its more a mustard yellow

 i remember seeing on the forum somewhere the use of yellow ink wondering if anyone has tried this and what kind of results they achieved

Hi Nick It looks like the right colour to me,it does come out as a yellowy brown colour, should be ok MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Hence why its called yellow ochre which is a mustard shade and is correct for how Victory currently looks, its certainly not/never has been a bright yellow.
