Hello all

Not long now until my eagerly anticipated 1/32 Lancaster arrives!

I note in one of their (HK Models) promotional photos next to the completed model
set around a diorama are 1/32 service vehicles.

Does anyone know where I can get a 1/32 WW2 refulling truck and maybe other
same scale vehicles?

I've had a look but can't seem to find any!

Thank you.

Regards.

Alan

IconicAir now also have a:

1/32 Cookie Bomb Trolley
http://www.iconicair.com/cookie/

Upkeep Bomb Trolley
http://www.iconicair.com/dambuster/

and a Field Tractor is on the way too Cool

and the Dambuster conversion set

(though if you want to also display the engine of the HK Lanc, it’s not the correct Merlin engine type for that of the Dambuster variant which had a Packard Merlin).

Be mindful that if you go the Dambuster route, the Dambuster Lancaster had the Packard V-1650-1 Merlin 28 but the HKM Lanc kit has a Merlin XX - slightly different engines and I don’t think the Packard has the RR rocker cover nameplate.

Other elements of the HKM Lanc also need to be converted to make it a Dambuster, such as the fitting of front gunner stirrups to keep his feet out of the bomb aimers face, spent case collecting bags (to stop them falling on the bomb aimers head) and strengthened oleo legs and bomb beams.

Upkeep kit is no use on the HKM kit as its a MkI-B and the 617 Lancasters were MkIII 'Specials'. Biggest issue is wrong engines!BigGrin

Also, the nose blister is to small, it was larger on the MkIII.

That’s incorrect, the HKM kit can be built as a B Mk.I or a B Mk.III and contains both nose blister types - The Dambuster Lanc’s were B Mk.III Specials (Type 464 Provisioning), therefore the HKM kit has the Mk.III blister of the Dambuster.

I stand corrected, it is in the kit.

Apparently the HK Lanc kit also includes the option of the mid upper turret blanking plate that’s used on Dambuster variant.
