Hi
Just a quick question. Is there a wood filler that will be able to be stained so that it does not look out of place.

It depends on shade of stain being used, as wood filler is avilable in various shades; best choose one which is closest to the stain shade being used, commercial fillers such as Ronseal multi-purpose are ok.
