I've been struggling trying to get the body mounted on the chassis. The huge number of wires in this model seem to be making it very difficult to get everything to fit. I've tried about 6 times so far, but the bundle of wires that run under the right door sill seem to be getting in the way. There aren't any good photos in the assembly guide for routing the wiring and the paper tabs supplied with the kit don't adhere very well.... Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you solve it? Right now, I'm nearly to the point of just removing most of the wiring..................

The wiring is a one of them jobs you need to take your time on. Have you looked at the pictures in the official build. They should help. The only other way is to use clear tape in a few more places to hold wires out if the way. https://forum.model-spac...amp;m=292930#post292930

Hi. Just completed my build and I had a terrible time fitting the body. Firstly the horn wire is very short and you have to get very close to fit it. I struggled but got friend to help ...he shone torch as I lowered the chassis on and he poked the wires in place. It was a very tight fit but finally fitted..but not the best design I am afraid. To make matters worse one of the reat tail lights now not working but there is no way I will ever repeat fitting this body. The build guide looks so easy and I wonder did he ever connect the wires as we never see lights working. Good luck.

Sorry to hear you had a few problems. Once I had taped my wires into place and out of the way, the body went on fairly easily. The dashboard was a bit tight in the door apertures but that was about it. I've attached a few dodgy images of my car with the lights on. They are blurry as I didn't use flash, and left the room fairly dark - hence a slow hand held exposure... Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Hi, i used the pdf guide to make sure using correct screws. Lights did work before fitting body, i must have trapped one. Been trying to figure out how to break into good wire on working light but all hidden under the chassis. Pity because all others working.

Seems like this is a common problem. Our friends in France had similar problems but one forum member solved it by cutting side extensions off floor pan. See last page on this: http://forum-auto.caradi...uits/sujet17288-4725.htm
