if it is any help, this has happened to me in the past,I overcame this by making it up from copper coaxle the centre wire, which was 1.5mm this,I then slightly flattened it,and then wrapped it round a 3mm drill.when painted you cant tell the difference. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Seems a common fault, I did the same, I mentioned in an earlier thread that we should probably leave them to the very end when building the yards, to rectify mine I just drilled a hole at right angles to the 'yard' as near as possible to the ends, I don't think it will be too noticeable when finnished. (see photo) Hope that help's, well probably be doing it again later Jeff
