Looks fantastic Walter, almost finished. Regarding the flags, I have no real suggestion, but I know that the supplied flags are too stiff to make it hanging loose (simulate no wind blow). As I fitted the sails I tried to simulate wind blow by keep curling it left/right (wave form) when sticked the two halves together gradually... Walter Impressive work on your rigging and very quickly completed. All looks really good. While its not a technique i have tried i did read an article were someone had sandwiched some thin metal (ie tin foil) between the flag halves. So when its folded you have an inner core that will hold its shape. Tony Happy Modelling

I´ve been working on the first anchor lately.
I simulated the iron bands with 2mm masking tape.
Used a much bigger brass ring than the one provided - the seizings are not perfect - but this was my first try.DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings,

Its all looking good Walter. Interesting seeing this part of your build as it takes me back a good number of years when modelspace forum was running the victory build for the first time. There were lots of people following along at the time and i remember the discussions and debates going on regarding making the anchor more accurate (as you have done here). It was great being part of the "radical thinking" making changes to the model and i must admit at the time i felt really good being guided by some of the long gone experts we had on this channel at that time. I think at that time ship building partworks while not totally new, had never really been supported with a build forum (or at keast a decent one) and the interest and enthusiasm from Victory builders was really good. I think everyone was trying to learn as much as they could so they could turn out a decent ship at the end. Your anchor build looks spot on. Kind regards Tony Happy Modelling

Hi Walter, Good to see you back. I've also been off the radar for some time now. Once again superb updates I agree with you about the flags. Alan & Martyn gave me this advice... http://forum.model-space...sts&t=6314&p=27
I used their method and was happy with the results. One thing I can suggest though, if you are going in this direction, it to try getting an extra set of flags & do a test first.
