Hi all,

I finished my R2 build a few days ago and have the following problems

1) Head spins fast and hits the buffers in both directions on start up
2) No charging light when charger is plugged in

I've stripped the model down and while stripping down I checked that every connection was plugged in properly which they were. I removed the MCU and inspected it and that looks fine too with all pins present.

I followed the build in detail via the magazine and the model space videos on YouTube. Every component was tested during the build as per instructions and everything worked.

The app works prefect as I can control him manually. He does everything when operated via the app i.e talks, light saber, projector, video, photo etc. The only thing the R2 unit won't do is the headshake. I can control the head via the app but it's very fast and hits each buffer.

Finally, the charge light fails to light up when inserted. I've tried turning R2 on and off with the charger plugged in and this makes no difference.

The batteries purchased were from 18650 and are the samsung button top type. The batteries are fully charged and I've also tested every one of them and the readings were more or less identical.

My only conclusion from reading this forum is that the MCU board is faulty. I have emailed DeAgostini but still waiting on a response from them. Does anyone else have any ideas what the problem could be? Like I say I've checked and double checked every lead and everything looks perfect and plugged in to the correct slot.
