Pack 11 - Stage 119

The large dummy guns were glued in position to the 2 lower rows of gun ports. The instructions call for smaller guns to be fitted to the dummy mounts of the upper row. I found that I was only shipped 8 small guns but I did get enough large guns to fill all of the upper row ports. So I decided to fit large guns in the upper row too.

4 smaller guns were fitted to the stern gun ports and 2 to the bow gun ports.

The stage is now complete.

Repair opportunity

While fitting the dummy guns to the ship, I accidentally pushed one of the mounts, along with the gun into the bowels of the ship.

The only way I can think of to retrieve the mount and gun would be to remove the large double hatch cover from the main deck and then shake the parts out. There is no way that i can think of to reattach the mount though.

I am thinking I might just fit the gun port hatch cover closed over this position.

Thoughts?

Pack 11 - Stage 120

First I assembled 12 guns/carriages and installed them to the ports of the main deck.

The inside of the gun barrels were painted black.

The port and starboard side ladders were fabricated and fitted to the hull.

That's it for nowq

What a brilliant job you have done putting this together.

It looks very impressive. All that blue and gold makes a very attractive model.

Hope it all continues well.
