Just been to Alexander Palace to see the Modelling exhibition.
Wow! What a place with so much to see and admire with the levels of skill involved beyond my dreams. Sadly there were no examples of period ships but plenty of others along with some quite heavy engineering models as well. Lots of stalls are marketing tools and equipment so I bought some odds and ends at a fraction of the cost from regular modelling websites. There are exhibitions and play tables especially for the children, to keep them interested too.
It's well worth a visit if you are local enough and it's on all over the weekend. Beware though...the Masters Snooker Tournament is currently on at the same venue so parking can be a bit tricky.

Good to hear you had a great visit Cool

It’s bias tends to be model engineering rather than wooden ship models., ModelSpace previously attended and thoughts were the same, no Ships..

Derek’s visit last year...
