This vehicle has an exterior brake lever ( hand operated ) which turns a layshaft through the chassis and tensions cables on each side connected to the brake drums. It looks like this is the only braking mechanism and yet there are three pedals in the cockpit. Confused And no sign of any other linkage to the drums.
The kit supplies a spring coil of some length to be used as the cable. I saw another build adapt this to short lengths with a steel rope as the actual cable. This idea I copied and used 0.8mm steel cable ( from Prime miniatures ).
Hope that makes sense ( pictures below ).

There's a couple of parts in this kit that are just not the right size!!!
Typical is the windshield which is a peel off pre-cut clear film which is not only a bit thin and flimsy but also far too small. ( part number 2 in the photo.) I cut my own piece to take it's place.
