Hi My R2D2 is finished and was working fine (although in patrol mode he seems a bit drunk) But now the leg motors make a grinding noise periodically when he moves, anyone else had the same experience??
Thanks in advance.

Can you check that the motors and wheels are still fully screwed tight sounds like something is coming undone. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Stuart - the burping noise can be caused by the speed wheel on the back of the motor coming loose (it's quite common issue)
1. work out which foot is making the noise (could be both) 2. take off the inner white battery box cover of that foot 3. once cover is removed you will see the motor & a white wheel with a black tyre 4. take off that wheel (it will probably fall off easy) 5. put a very tiny amount of glue on the hole in the middle of that white wheel with the black tyre on it 6. re-attach wheel to motor (you can put the white cover back on now, or leave until you're happy it worked) 7. allow glue to dry (superglue leave for a few minutes) 8. power up R2 and try again, should be much better.
(You can do this to the other foot too - also if others R2's are not going in a straight line these speed wheels could also be causing an issue)
Regards
Darin
