Pod 2 Rear Panel

Parts Supplied:
Rear panel (Outer/inner), Details 1 and 2 (on fret), Details 3,4 and 5, Details 6, Details 7, Details 8 and 9, Washers and Screws.

Glue the outer and inner rear panels together in the same way that you glued the front panels and hold the parts together until the glue has dried.

All details used in this stage should be secured with a dot of superglue.
Separate details 1 and 2 from their sprue and remove any burrs.

Working down the left-hand side of the inner panel fix detail 1 in place, followed by detail 5 making sure that it is orientated correctly and then detail 3.

Now on the right-hand side fit detail 4 being careful with the thin part and lastly fit detail 2 over the two pins. The inner wall of the rear panel should look like this.

Fit the rear hatch through the panel as you did at the front end. Slide the panel into the gap next to the hinges, again ensuring there is no gap. Carefully turn the pod floor over, place a washer over the mounting point and secure it with a screw. Then repeat for the other side.

Attach one detail 7 to the right-hand side of the floor and then fit the second detail 7 to the left-hand side. Next fit detail 8 into the holes next to detail 7 on the right-hand side with the white side facing outwards. Then fit detail 9 on the left-hand side. This completes the details on the floor.

On the outside of the front panel fix one of the details 6 making sure the part is orientated correctly. Now fix the remaining details 6 to the front panel.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Right inner wall, Detail 1, Details 2 (on a fret), Detail 3 and 4, Detail 5 and 6 (on a fret), Detail 7 and 8 (on a fret), Details 9 - 11.

All details used in this stage should be secured with superglue.

Fix detail 1 to the inner wall and then fix a detail 2 either side of it, (It doesn't matter which way up they go). Now fix detail 3 below.

Firstly, familiarise yourself with detail 4 which slopes up and outward to match the contour of the inner wall. Fix the part in place making sure that it will match the inner wall’s curve.

Noting that details 5 and 6 have an R stamped on their reverse sides, fix detail 5 in place followed by detail 6 just to the right. Now working just below details 5 and 6 fix details 7, 9 and 10 in place.

Next fix detail 11 in place making sure that its orientation is correct and then fix detail 8 below.

Pod 2 Right Inner Wall

Parts Supplied:
Right outer wall, Right clear wall, Details 12 - 23.

Fix detail 18 in place making sure that you have orientated it correctly. Then continue by fixing details 13, 12 and 14. Now, on the rear half of the right inner wall fix details 12, 14 and 15. Then checking that you have the correct orientation fix detail 17 in place, followed by detail 16.

Details 19 and 20 are now fixed together to make one unit. That unit is then fixed to the inner wall.

Note: Details 21-23 all have a stepped edge on one of their longer sides. This stepped edge is the bottom edge of each part and will lock the bottom of the inner wall to the pod.

Now fit details 21 - 23 at the bottom of the wall from left to right checking the orientation of each as you go.

All inner wall details are now in place.

Glue the outer panel to the right inner wall. The locating pins will make sure it’s placed correctly. The right-hand pod wall is now completed.

In this stage, a clear version of the wall was supplied. You can use this instead of the wall completed in this stage to make the inside of any pod visible. They both fit into position in the same way.

Stage Complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Note: All details used in this stage should be secured with a dot of superglue.

Fix detail 1 in place and then remove both details 2 from their fret and fix one either side of detail 1. Detail 3 is then fixed just below.
