On a side note you have the same book as me and the author says that the model was built for a museum display in an exploded form ie-lower hull- upper hull -turret displat one on top of the other held by supports.

So this explaines the time taken and the extra detail added as it will all be seen on the displayed model in its setting as a museum model.Cool
